This car has the very powerful and refined latest 2.0 Diesel engine with 140 Bhp.  It is so quiet that you will be surprised that it is even running.  When you put your foot down this car picks up wonderfully and it cruises along almost effortlessly.  The 6 speed manual gearbox is very smooth and gear changes are effortless. With the economy being astronomical because these engines are revving so low, 2,000 Rpm at 70 Mph – the computer shows that on a mixed cycle it is still returning 47.9 Mpg.

 

Anyone looking for one of these diesel versions will probably know how good Volkswagons reputation is and with their build quality you know what you are getting, and with a five star NCAP safety rating you can be assured that in the event of a accident you have the best technology working for you, the load space in the boot is cavernous and at the click of a couple of catches it will become twice as large again. The quality and build is superb and everything that you would want from a family estate is all here and more, the seats have 8 different seating arrangements, with the addition of cruise control, huge panoramic sunroof, full on board computer with Temp/Distance/Inst Mpg etc. This car cost over £26,000 New and compared to some of its its rivals VW/Audi are miles ahead !!!

 

The ESP is a great safety feature.  It constantly monitors the speed of all 4 wheels, amount of acceleration or braking and the angle of steering lock.  If it detects any risk to traction while driving it can reduce power from the engine while also applying the brakes to each individual wheel to ensure maximum safety.  Basically if you don’t control the car properly, it takes over!

 

The load space in the boot is huge and at the click of a couple of catches you can fold the rear seats forward to almost double the size.  The glass panoramic sunroof is superb and opens up the cabin area giving a wonderfully light and spacious feel and at the touch of a button the whole lot will retract to open up and reveal the sky,there is fully automatic climate control…the driver and front passenger just have to enter their desired temperature and the car will deliver it perfectly, the cabin is very spacious and yet sumptuous with stitched leather interior and door cards.. The seats have 5 different adjustments to help you find the optimum driving position. The Hi-Fi sounds great and benefits from a mp3 player also, and there are a number of other options that really enhance long journeys…..Such as automatic headlamps which turn themselves on when entering dark places or night falls, automatic wipers that will start as soon as rain falls on the windscreen, heated seats that are especially nice in the winter months.

 

This car has covered 128,300 miles which is nothing for one of these Latest Diesel engines, more importantly to drive it or look at it you simply would never know as the condition is impeccable. I have the service book with all Volkswagon main dealer longlife services which were carried out at 18K, 38K, 56K, 77K, 96K, and lastly at 114K (Cambelt). These are all Volkswagon longlife services which were carried out by the same supplying dealer at service intervals of 20,000 miles or 2 years whichever come first.

 

The interior is spotlessly clean throughout and still looks like new. All the switchgear and facia finishing is still like new and the carpets are spotlessly clean too.  On the whole the interior is stunning and you could never ask more of a second hand car.

 

The car looks absolutely fantastic and it drives perfectly with no faults, rattles or noises.  It has clearly wanted for nothing and it drives the way it did the day it left the showroom.

As always I personally collected this car and can tell you that on the 120+ miles I have driven this car for the drive is superb, with bags of power combined with a lot of factory fitted added options that will keep even the most discerning buyer happy whilst on the move. Benefiting from the 2.0 diesel engine with 140 Bhp, with fuel economy being very good indeed the computer showing at 80 mph it still was returning 55.4 mpg. The general condition is truly superb and the front and rear seating and carpeted areas are both absolutely stain free/unmarked condition. Internally and externally the general overall condition is what you would expect if the car was in a high street showroom with 50,000 miles on the clock. The car has never been smoked in nor has it been used to carry pets, the tyres are all matching branded quality Bridgestone with approximately 4-5 mm tread wear remaining. I have all the user manuals and all other relevant paperwork along with both remote key fobs.

 

The body work also is quite unbelievable as it does not show any signs of the mileage travelled, the front wings and bonnet area are not even hardly stone chipped like you would expect with no car parking dints, dents, scrapes or nasty scratches at all.

FAULTS :

The only imperfections that I could mention is that two of the alloy wheels have very light marks to them, (see photos) the rear bumper low down has a small 2cm x 1cm graze  Other than these faults the car is otherwise absolutely perfect and has been a credit to its previous owner, with only the other odd light general wear and tear mark here or there but again they are very very light and would not need mentioning at all, all in all I would without doubt describe the car as near mint condition inside and out and without doubt better than your average family owned 50,000 mile example. 

 

I am in receipt of the full V5 registration document, this will enable the new purchaser to obtain road tax (when applicable) or I would also be able to do this for you at your expense.
